Building Decarbonisation Optimised Retrofitting Model

Supported under the Scottish Enterprise SMART:Scotland grant, this feasibility-led research will develop out the most comprehensive optimised implementation pathway model for organisations undertaking a building retrofit for the purposes of decarbonisation but also considering key factors from energy efficiency, occupant wellbeing, building resilience, OT security, and power utilisation.

Skills Centre of Excellence for Smart Infrastructure

Developing in Dundee, a new academic pathway for smart infrastructure engineering is being developed with the plans for a new skills centre of excellence to host the new hybrid approach of physical and virtual learning - all underpinned with new micro credential courses being researched for roll out into industry and beyond. The aim being to address the 'industry ready' challenge for current education pathways.

IoT Sensory Intelligent Fault Management 

This is a project under review to lever machine learning to better develop and automate the fault lifecycle of an IoT sensor in a building covering fault states of prediction, detection & identification, isolation, output estimation and context-aware fault diagnosis.

This project will be undertaken with a knowledge transfer partnership with a Scottish university.
